Update March 2017:
It appears we are in the initial 2% of the rural population planned to be upgraded to Fibre to the Premises (FTTP).
In the past BT has always used Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) which is a hotchpotch of fibre and copper. FTTP could deliver us some of the fastest speeds currently available anywhere in the country.
Lets see what materialises :-)
